I love the fact that this cat carrier is not extremely small or overly big. I have a 17 lb cat and he still has room inside there when I take him to the vet. I also like the fact that you have two options to open from the top or from the side since cats are extremely hard to get into carrier sometimes it's nice to be able to put him in from the top rear end first instead of trying to shove him in through the side door. I have never had an issue with carriers like this because they have screws holding the cage together as well as latches. I am a vet tech and when people bring their animals in with the carriers that do not have screws sometimes the carriers fall apart because the latches are not locked fully and there's a higher chance of your cat escaping possibly on your way to the car if the carrier falls apart. It was a fairly good price I suggest this carrier for cat owners or even small dogs as well as Exotics.

We had a soft carrier for our cat that he HATED and tore apart and escaped from. Never again! This carrier is well built and large enough that our cat can move around / turn around inside of, which is key for several hours of travel. The fully removable top loader gate is also super convenient so that we can have the carrier top open during the ride to pet and allow him to stick his head up and out to look around to get his bearings. It's light and sturdy, easy to carry at your side and the spring loaded metal locking mechanisms on the front and top gates are easy to open and close and remain securely locked during travel. We love this carrier, it's considerably cheaper than name brand models of the same size / build and just as good.
