Can't explain it...it is too small for him. This crate mat is on a rug in our upstairs hallway and where my cat sleeps at night. He has 4 other beds that might seem more comfortable but this is the one he has chosen. I am of course not sure why! The lip around the edge is not high. Maybe he likes that? It is small and cats like to fit into small spaces? Maybe that's it! Not sure. But I am buying a second in case anything every happens to this one!

This perfectly fits my travel carry-on for my puppy. It is soft as a feather, yet it held up from the pee and vomit of her first outing in it. I washed and dried it in the machines, and it came back as good as new. I do recommend it.
