My wife is a big tea drinker and has alway heated her water in the microwave. A friend gave her an Amazon gift card for Xmas and after visiting her sister who has a similar water heater, she decided she wanted one so we purchased this one. Not disappointed at all, this thing heats water 3 times faster than the microwave and is super easy to clean. If you do a large batch of water and only use a little, it stays hot for a long time in the carafe. Nice product.
