the transformer car came with all the batteries as well as a usb charger cord for the rechargeable batteries in the car. The remote transmits on 2.4GHZ and works flawlessly. A cool toy for the grandkid once I am done playing with it...hehehehe

I was surprised, the box contained everything I needed to get this car going, right down to the small screwdriver for the battery compartments. Three rechargeable batteries for the car and two regular batteries for the remote. Demo mode is fun to watch, driving is even better - we made an obstacle course in the garage, lots of fun. Car charges via a USB port. An altogether neat product, easy to operate and fun to use.

One of the best things about this product is that batteries are included. The batteries in the car are rechargeable. This car is very lightweight. It will not be as durable as the stunt car. However, it transforms at the touch of a button. My kids were mesmerized. I think the age range is about right. I am pleased with the length of charge before I need to plug it back in. Now, if I can keep them from driving it in the kitchen while I am cooking that would be totally awesome.
